The rule of thirds
The rule of Thirds is a composition technique that is used to make photos more interesting and dynamic. It is all about creating the right aesthetic trade-off. It states that an image is most pleasing when its subjects are composed along imaginary lines which divides the image into thirds, both vertically and horizontally. Then you must place the important elements of your picture along those lines, or at the points were the lines meet. The idea of this is that an off-center composition has a more natural look. It also encourages you to make a creative use of negative space.
